What is Skin Rejuvenation?

Regardless of if you are male or female, as we grow older, our skin starts to tell stories about us. It might be the stresses of work, bringing up children or a party lifestyle that makes our skin age, but our skin will be compelling evidence that we have lived our life to the full. Of course, smiling, the sun and gaining or losing weight can all add their chapter to the story of your life. The sad fact is, these natural changes to our skin rarely do us any favours.

However, all is not lost, and at Beautech Skincare, we have a comprehensive range of skin rejuvenation treatments that can help reduce the visible signs of ageing. We have treatments that reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars and acne. Modern treatments can also help to repair sun damage and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Our highly trained therapists will be able to advise you on the best treatment to give you visibly smoother and more radiant skin.

How does skin rejuvenation work?

Our specialist skin rejuvenation treatment starts at just £150 and is innovatively designed to stimulate new cell growth. These new skin cells will also increase collagen and elastin, two naturally occurring substances found in the body. As production increases, skin tone will visibly improve with evidence of scars or acne reduced, ensuring that the skin has a more uniform appearance.

What is it commonly used for?

Skin rejuvenation treatments can be used for many reasons, but most of our clients come to us with sun damage, age spots, premature wrinkle, or actinic keratosis. While, unfortunately, our skin does age naturally, it is possible to reduce and even reverse some of the evidence. Of course, we will always give you an accurate diagnosis of the problem to ensure that nothing too sinister may require further medical attention. In most cases, skin rejuvenation treatment such as Fibra DFA is recommended, a fast and straightforward technique.

What is Fibra DFA?

During Fibra DFA, a diode laser is used to emit nanosecond pulses focused on a small skin area like chromophores such as melanin. The resulting controlled heat damage has been scientifically proven to cause ultra-structural alterations, which occur only in melanosomes (melanin is generated in these intracellular organelles).

The treatment results in melanocytes having less dendrite (where the neuron receives input from other cells), in this case transferring melanin to the skin cells. The Fibra DFA reduces the number of dendrites, which means that less melanin is carried to the skin. It results in making the skin appear lighter in colour, similar to the surrounding areas.

Who is skin rejuvenation suitable for?

Skin rejuvenation is suitable for all skin types but is preferred by those starting to show signs of ageing. It is a straightforward procedure at our clinic on Lower Sloane Street, West London and has long-lasting results.
